A SIMPLE CHRISTMAS
Winter and Christmas, such a beautiful time
Of year,
It seems to bring out the best and worse in
Peopls.
Nerves are shot, stress is at its highest, anger
Is strong,
A simple Christmas is a most wonderful kind
Of all.
A warm fire in the night, dinner always cooking
Is a sight,
A tree of color, lit up in the dark, candles
Glowing, love is growing.
A roof over your head, a warm drink. and some
Treats Before a warm bed,
Time with the ones you love, Good night, and a
Thank You to God above.

RUDOLPH
I have lived many lifetimes, born
Far away,
In the snow, a dream place, the
North Pole.
I live in a village where magical
Things are alive,
There is a team of reindeer
That I will guide beyond the
Night.
Once a year, for so many, I
Have lost count quite a while
Ago,
The man in red sits at the reins,
As I guide him across the sky.
I have seen it all, been everywhere
Where children laugh and cry,
My name is Rudolph, watch for me
In the sky,
On the eve of Christmas, I fly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Christmas for me is the greatest time
Of the year,
It doesn’t change the world or its
Problems.
Our problems or worries don’t
Disappear in December,
You don’t have to let the holidays
Get you down at all.
I take December as a break to enjoy
And reflect on the good that’s in my
Life, I am in good health, a few aches
And pains,
A roof over my head, food on the
Table each night, a warm bed to
Rest my head.
A few luxuries, such as a fireplace
And a shower, clothes on my back,
I have my own stress and worries in
Life, but they can’t consume me as I
Celebrate.
There’s much to be thankful for,
Light some candles, decorate,
Appreciate family and friends,
There’s something to find within
The winter months.
Christmas is once a year, raise a
Glass and find something to cheer
About,
Pray for those who are less fortunate,
Those without a home, less than you
Have.
Merry Christmas and a better New
Year, for all. Keith Garrett
AT THE VILLAGE
The snow is falling in a faraway place,
It’s close to Christmas, so much to do
Here.
Getting ready for his trip around the
Globe,
The man in red, resting at the North
Pole.
At the village, elves are making toys,
The reindeer are eating, preparing
For their voyage.
Snowmen are alive, in their winter dress,
The smell of Gingerbread, candy canes,
And eggnog.
Christmas Eve is here in the village
My dear,
A jolly old man and his reindeer.
Set are they, for their flight
Across the sky,
A ho! ho! ho! from Santa as they
Are on their way.

CHRISTMAS IS A FRAME OF MIND
Decorations are a visible scene to Christmas,
Christmas is a frame of mind, we must find.
From your heart and soul, a feeling deep
Inside,
You have to believe in magical possibilities
And dream.
Take yourself away to what this season may
Bring,
All wishes and miracles are a winter fantasy
And reality.
Christmas is a frame of mind, it exists and
Grows with those whom believe,
Close your eyes and find what makes you
Happy inside.

WHEN SHE SAW CHRISTMAS
Alone, she lived in a house up so high,
for Many years, this woman,
Forgotten has she the joy and happiness
That was once shared.
Isolates herself from most of this world,
As sorrow showed her a frown,
How will she ever find that lost smile,
Does she caee anymore?
Something was to happen that night,
A most unusual dream was real,
Awoke did she in the dark of night,
A look on her face but not of fright.
A thought to her mind, she did not
Know really why, back to sleep for
The night,
Up in the morning to a light snow
Seen from her window, in her eyes
A glow.
Walked out into the snow, a feeling
inside, A smile so slight, memories
Of a child,
Cut did she, a small tree that stood
Alone, brought it home, a star placed
Above,
That’s when at that moment, when she
Saw Christmas and smiled once again.

SHE SANG FOR CHRISTMAS
She could see that there was not much
Spirit in the world,
Faith and humanity, crumbling throughout
Mankind,
High on top of a mountain, she stood, a
Song in her heart.
She sang for Christmas, wanting it to echo
Across the sky,
She sang about friendship and togetherness,
Singing aloud.
She sang about laying down your weapons,
A moment of joining hands,
She sang for Christmas, about peace and
Harmony, from land to land,
She sang her song, with a prayer for the
Changing of man.

FAITH OF A CHILD
Santa Claus, Frosty, Reindeer, Christmas
Is near,
A tree decorated and lit up for the night,
From a child’s eyes.
Magic is in the air, everywhere, snow falling
Down upon the ground,
Dinner and pajamas, close your eyes, and
Dream tonight.
Faith of a child, that all is real on a Christmas
Eve night,
There is a North Pole where toys are always
Being created.
Santa will forever fly across a wide open sky
On a special night,
Rudolph does wear a shiny nose that glows,
It is so.
From your window, a snowman will come
To life, for this night,
Christmas comes alive with the faith
Of a child.

PLEASE, SANTA!
Through the years, I have wanted many
Things for Christmas,
Beginning when I was a child, as you
Know it was always toys.
I am sure that I’m not the only one in
This world who wants,
Children write letters asking for everything,
Adults want many things.
Madness and chaos become the scene all
Across the land we see,
Stress and hostility are from my eyes seen,
Pushing and shoving, not what we need.
So, please Santa! I am not a child anymore
But I’ll ask you for a few things anyway,
If at all possible, and I know it’s a tough one,
Maybe a little peace for Christmas,
How about taking away the pain and sorrow
That lingers around our world.
Less war would be nice, as enough people
Have died needlessly, it needs to end,
Around the holidays, there is much anger,
Can it be put to rest for a while?
I thought I would ask for something
Different this year, as this world is
Headed the wrong way,
Please! Santa! If possible, for Christmas,
The world would be a much nicer place.

DREAMED OF A REINDEER
Closed my eyes on this Christmas
Eve, night,
Thoughts of what may be coming
From the sky.
I could feel myself drifting away
Into a dream,
A winter scene, from out of my
Window, I did see.
There was a Reindeer, flying by,
He stared at me,
A wink from his eye, alone in
The night, I want to fly.
Dreamed of a Reindeer, I did
Feel that that he took me on
A flight,
Dreamed of a Reindeer, away
He flies by morning’s light.
