DOES SILENCE MAKE A SOUND?

Dusk approaches, there’s a quiet silence,

A calming feel at the days end.

Does silence make a sound, ?

A crickets soft chirp noticed.

A breeze moving gently through the trees,

A plane that fly’s so high beneath the stars.

The tone of a whisper spoken in her ear,

In the far off distance the bark of a dog is heard.

Ones own heartbeat echoes inside,

A mosquito in the evening, the sound goes by.

The sleeping child breathing in the night,

An owl in a tree, quiet as can be.

Does silence make a sound,? listen as it’s found.

  1. I love the way you write down your poems. It brings me so much emotion and feelings. On the poem: After reading it I thought about some quote I saw somewhere: “If a tree falls in the forest, and nobody is there, does it make a sound?”
