Working hard is what i do, bruises and cuts are many too,
I know i’m strong but the pain is inside, so I can cry.
There lives in me the will to survive, I’ve walked fifty miles,
When my journey was done with god at my side, I can cry.
I can throw a football, hike up through the hills and fall,
I can run through a fire, defend my girl, I can cry.
I can cry when the world is at war,
I can be strong and i can cry some more.
When you lose a loved one or this world takes from you,
It is that i will cry, I am a man and any man can cry too.
To know that i can take care of everything i need in life,
When it’s time then i know it’s alright and that i can cry.

please do it is your god given right….
this moved me deeply, beauitifully written Keith. took me back to Rumi’s quote when he said – “The rain-weeping and the sun burning twine together to make us grow. Keep your intelligence white-hot and your grief glistening, so your life will stay fresh. Cry easily like a little child.”
Thanks a lot for reading, I really appreciate your thoughts.
Very nice to be introduced to your poetry and thank you for liking my post. Peace and blessings to you.
Thanks for reading, life is difficult at this time but i don’t give up.
I myself am in a bit of a struggle as well. Thankfully your reaching out in poetry is encouraging me. Thank you again.
you are so welcome
I really like your poem, I think it shows that just because you cry it doesn’t mean you aren’t strong, it just shows that you have emotions and you feel about things.

I like this one
crying is nature given gift to release our stress and unfortunately sometimes relieve the pain of heartbreak…feel free to use it.
