UNIVERSE

UNIVERSE

Created within me Is the answer to the beginning of time,

Is there a start or finish, an end or beginning to what’s mine.

In many a direction, I must be,

Everything travels’ through my darkness, who knows’ what there Is to see.

Older than anything, how long have I really existed,

Where do I come from, Is the answer a mystery never to be discovered?

All things’ that live within my space,

Rotating forever, will they always be In this place.

I am the universe, not knowing what I really am,

With no air or much light, not a visitor from your land.

I’ll stay here, who can say just how long,

Perhaps till an end comes to my time.

TAKE A TRIP WITH ME

“TAKE A TRIP WITH ME”

Follow me, baby, across the wide open plains, together,

Horses we ride through the desert, the land belongs to us.

On beautiful animals of strength and spirit, we journey,

Moving along, riding Into the wind, together we are one.

For us, there are amazing and colorful sunsets’ to behold,

Under the stars, we camp next to the warmth of a roaring fire.

Sounds of nature are with us as the only voices other than our own,

Out here we live, we find our own way across this experience of life.

The sun rises beyond the hills’ behind the mountains standing,

A gentle breeze whispers that a new day Is born, we rise.

Take a trip with me as we awake to each sunrise, as we ride.

THAT’S LIFE

THAT’S LIFE

Walk with me and hear my thoughts of the day,

From the time we are a child we think and play.

A fairytale from the beginning that we are forever,

Of this world not meant to be, everlasting Is heaven.

Into our lives, people step and then walk away,

We lose and we gain, lessons of love and pain.

At times the bad seem blessed and the goodwill suffer,

Those with much love to give can not discover another’s heart.

Most take for granted what others only cry for, Oh! they cry,

That’s life, sometimes we don’t get what we deserve,

Many times we get what we get, that which Is given.

We see laughter, we see tears, we find fear, that’s life,

We all have our day and some have It taken away.

The longer we live there’s a chance for love or sorrow,

We hold on for tomorrow because that’s life.

SURROUNDING ME

SURROUNDING ME

I’m here, blind at times to what’s around me waiting for myself to see,

Sitting here at this moment, quiet with no soul to keep me company.

Feeling lonely but as I turn my eyes to this world, notice do I something,

There’s much life watching me, I never listen but now I can hear,

As what’s surrounding me Is telling me something, It’s talking to me.

There stands a tree, Its’ branches swinging In the wind like arms,

Leaves falling to the ground, nature brings It to life as I hear the sound.

The grass dances as a breeze travels on by singing as It says goodbye,

When I sit upon It a feeling It has as also this friend of green feels me.

On a shrub, a bird sits and whistles In the sun,

Saying hello to It as away In the sky this bird flies.

There are bees buzzing around flowers of many colors and fragrances,

They leave me alone, I’m not alone.

What I want may not be, a little less lonely with what’s surrounding me.

SUNRISE

SUNRISE

Darkness disappears’ as day comes to life,

Footsteps of mine traveling the morning light.

The fog begins’ to lift showing the beauty of God,

I walk this way with hope by my side.

Quiet as It’s early, fore sleep still lingers,’

On the move are these legs, tired, forever tired.

Rays of light shine through the distant clouds,

Sunrise has a story for a man roaming alone.

Everything has changed as the days’ seem the same,

A song, he sings’ a song In my ear always heard.

My favorite music from the man from Jersey,

Sunrise, sweet sunrise, each day my journey.

BEFORE YOUR SOUL

BEFORE YOUR SOUL

Where are you before you are you,

Billions of years, molecules exploding in time.

Born to this world millions of years before,

A man, you don’t speak in words but a screech.

Your first thoughts are of survival, food, and water,

Your mind and body are most unusual, not of today.

Fire has not been learned, day and night, sun and rain,

These are to you a mystery, so much you will learn,

Before your soul was created, a man you are related.

A PERFECT MOMENT

A PERFECT MOMENT

When darkness falls and the night is quiet,

Fighting is no more, words are of silence.

Sitting on a bench, hand in hand,

A drink for two on my private land.

When the echoes of sirens are no longer close,

The scream of the freeway is not near my home.

When all is everything I want it to be,

A fantasy is made in my own world to see.

A perfect moment can only be what we make it to be,

Things of change piece by piece, a perfect moment can be anything.

A LONER OF A MAN

A LONER OF A MAN

He saw the sun but when the sun went down,

He wanted nothing more of that which was around.

Heading for the great Colorado Rocky mountains said he,

I will not be back until I see a land of eternity.

A long time ago, this man not many would know,

As for the few, he treated them with kindness, they would not forget.

A loner of a man, no choice to love and care, an inherited family,

Because he did help another kind, they took from him the love in his life.

He wanted to be alone and he learned to care, again only pain and despair,

A mountain man you see, he had a life, until life met eternity.

LOST IN THE WIND

LOST IN THE WIND

The wind blows, where it goes only it knows,

An echo that sounds whenever it be around.

Listen when it roars, when it sleeps, hear the peace,

Feel the wind as it will move all around, touches what is found.

In the wind, what things do get lost, yesterdays thoughts,

Leaves from the trees, branches, or what tomorrow could bring,

Lost in the wind, material things, a soul that sings, everything.

THE CAPED CRUSADERS

THE CAPED CRUSADERS

Do you remember? If you were a child, an adult would know,

Nineteen sixty six was the beginning of a superheroes show.

I watched as there were villains, Batman and Robin would only know,

I collected cards when I was a child, the batmobile, and all they acquired.

Between a world of reality and make believe, Batman and the boy wonder were a child’s dream,

A call from the commissioner that a criminal was back in town, the bat signal was found.

The BatBoat, the Batcopter, so amazed was I by the Batcave, down the poles and on their way,

Masks and capes, crazy weapons to help them on their journey to stop the criminally insane.

Remember their names, so many to say, Joker, Riddler, Catwoman, and penguin are a memory,

So many villains, can you think of their names, look at their faces, a child once again.

Batman and Robin, a comical team, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson were reality in a dream,

Let’s not forget Alfred, Buttler, and keeper of secrets in between, Gotham city and fantasy.
