ONCE I DREAMED

” ONCE I DREAMED”

One cold chilly night as I drifted off to sleep, what did I see,

Something happening In front of me, all around as I am still.

Once I dreamed baby, again It was you and me on a cold chilly night,

Dreamed we were together, dreamed everything was alright.

Walking hand In hand as the days’ turned to night, this I dreamed,

A pretty smile your face wears, to see this I have to sleep, dream.

Darling If only dreams’ could come true then It would be you and me,

Once I dreamed again, standing In front of me was you, dare to dream.

Again I dream, a dream that stands’ In front of me.

WATCHER OF THE SEA

WATCHER OF THE SEA

High above the water, overlooking the ocean,

Built above the rocks standing tall under the sky.

With Its’ eyes of light so bright watching for those,

Guiding who might approach these shores, looking.

For so many years It sees, watches, and waits,

As from across the horizon travelers make their way.

Watcher of the sea keeping your eye on what Is all around thee,

Whether the light of day or the dark of night, you watch.

Trusted by many are you, counted on for safety,

You are the watcher of the sea, lonely as It may be.

VOICES

VOICES

Around us, we hear those who speak,
Words and phrases to others’ who will hear.

So many different tones from mouths each day,
Softly spoken or In a deep mean way.

Talking a lot Is a way for some,
Fast and unclear Is another way too.

We hear many voices as we spend our day,
Talking about their lives and crying about their pain.

Voices are heard singing songs,
Which makes us happy and brings our emotions outside.

On the phone, there are voices, to us spoken words,
We can’t even see them but still, they are heard.

Without voices, we will not be heard,
If we are not heard then there Is silence.

UPON YOU I FALL

UPON YOU I FALL

Up so high, I’m created there,

Above the earth, up In the air.

I lie and wait for the clouds to cry,

Down on you, I fall from the sky.

Throughout time, I’ve been found,

Sometimes I’ll make a different sound.

The sun will shine, I’ll go away,

My time will come another day.

There Is no pain when you feel my touch,

Down upon you, sometimes I am much.

I must fall for you to live,

To mankind, It Is this gift I give.

TRAIN RIDE

TRAIN RIDE

Awaiting Its’ arrival as here It comes to take me away,

Sounds like thunder rumbling down the track, whistling.

Puffing black smoke up Into the air, Its’ headlight shining,

This monster of steel Is here, time for me to climb aboard.

Listen to the hissing from this steam engine, hear It,

We take off heading through the hills’ with much to see.

From out of the window stare do I as we pass through,

Darkness from within a mountain carved out a passage.

Tons of rock and dirt hanging above us as we travel,

Moving through this tunnel Into the light, sun going down.

I listen to the sound of the power of this traveling train,

Out of the window Is a clear sky as the light from the full moon

Shines down, guiding our way across the land.

THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

Through a twister, she journeys’ across the sky,

From her home In Kansas, she and her dog said goodbye.

To fantasy from reality In a place she fell,

Of tiny people, In this land where they dwelled.

If home Is where she wanted then a walk she would take,

Down a long road of yellow brick, to a city, she would make.

Along the way three friends’ she would meet,

Searching for something, each one was unique.

Till the end, they would fight a wicked soul,

Conquer and receive what It was they were told.

Click your heels’ together, one, two, three,

There’s no place like home, back there she would be.

STRENGTH AND POWER

STRENGTH AND POWER

With so much force and power am I,

Formed In the beginning, only time knows just why.

I travel and move up and down,

Over and under, my crash forms a sound.

All that lives here answers to me,

These creatures are many, on land they’re not to be.

I move along across the sand,

Sometimes I’m sitting calm, other times, high I’ll stand.

Everywhere Is seen by me,

I’ve visited far off places just like thee.

Throughout time many have sailed across my path,

At times kind I am to them but so many have felt my wrath.

I am strength and power, I am the ocean.

PAINTED CLOUDS

PAINTED CLOUDS

I walk the morning, the air has a chill and a breeze,

Out In the distance, above the hills, they float like balloons.

Shapes or sizes and colors of difference,

Splashed across the sky are painted clouds.

Vanish, they go away for a moment In time,

Reinvented, shaped from heaven above.

Pastel colors appeared In my sight,

Rays of light from the sun trying to peek through.

An Invisible smile, a memory of a face sketched,

Forever In my mind, eyes of beauty, a voice that echoes

Through the clouds.

THIS LIFE

” THIS LIFE”

The sun rises to an unforgiving day, what preys’,

Sympathy has no smile, It does not walk my way.

Faces of lies speak to me, satan In their eyes,

Spirit In the sky takes a grip of my hand, strength.

This Is a mans’ land, not of pure and good,

This life, this life of mine Is an alone adventure.

Words’ pour out of their mouths’ like water so dirty,

Only sounds’ do I hear, unrecognizable to these ears.

They try so hard to take this heart, they can not steal,

I’m reminded of the hurt they know I feel, not unreal.

This life, this life takes If It sees a smile and happiness

When It knows It’s In me.

MAGIC

” MAGIC”

Wizards with wands or magical dust,

Four leaf clovers and a seven showing always on two dice.

Witches and warlocks, wishes or rainbows,

Do dreams come true, there are stars and moons.

Do unicorns exist, are there spirits In the mist,

Is magic a fantasy, what you feel are prayers that are real.

Magic lives In the heart, It Is a wanting hope for all that you feel,

All you hope will be real.
