SAILING THE OCEAN, JUST ME

SAILING THE OCEAN, JUST ME

What a spectacular voyage I am about to embark upon,

My boat is ready, packed and loaded with all that I desire.

Early morning as the sun fights to break through the drifting fog,

Everything necessary to make this a successful, adventurous, experience.

It’s time to cast off, music turned up as I set sail for places far across the ocean,

I am on my way as the sun Is warming around me, the fog will In time disappear.

I feel free, the blue sky above with but a few clouds that block my view of heaven,

Seagulls flying from here to anywhere, dolphins are noticed dancing across the water.

With the wind upon my face and the open sea neverending just like eternity,

Glide across the water, this is a whole new world out here so fascinating and real.

There is no place I can’t be, travel I can to anywhere as the ocean guides me, carries me,

Sailing the ocean, just me and a boat that will never again be seen unless you can dream.

QUALITY OF LIFE

QUALITY OF LIFE

When we are young for granted we take running till day is done,

Strong legs and energy, so fortunate if you are without sickness.

Adjust do we our every day in different ways as we wear down, decay,

Push on through, never surrendering to age or time, we do let go.

Quality of life, that’s how we wish to live, pain free and happy,

We all live a different lifestyle, our individual way of living each day.

Quality of life, it can change in a flash, an accident, disaster, disease,

Life is a special gift, our quality of life means much to us, to live or exist.

How good is life when you feel sick or can’t enjoy your daily activities,

We all have or will one day acquire those things, ailments that will limit us.

Appreciate the health you have and run, play, see everything while you can.

SHADOW ON A CURB

SHADOW ON A CURB

A boy I remember once sat on a curb,

On a warm, sunny, day almost fifty years ago I say.

Listening to the airplanes going by, fly so high,

Hands rested on his face, a street and a place far away.

He would stare from where he sat, a thinking child,

I remember him well when he lost that smile.

A car that no longer moved, the life in it lost,

Now the memory of a man who sat at the wheel.

A place and a street that exists till this day,

A curb where once a boy no more dreamed and played.

What has faded now is a man and a car,

A boy who has aged more than a father whom at one time

Carried him on his shoulders.

Now from the trees, only a shadow on a curb you’ll see,

A memory of a boy who sat and stared at a car driven

by a father whom he can no longer see.

SAIL AWAY WITH ME

SAIL AWAY WITH ME

A slight breeze blowing across the bay today, the sun will shine,

A few passing clouds but a great day to sail away with beautiful you.

Free to wander a different part of life, escape together across the water,

What a beautiful day, such a pretty smile on a beautiful face ready to sail.

I brought wine and cheese and If It gets chilly something stronger you see,

A blanket to cover up with as the day loses the sun, some music, and some love.

Sail away with me beyond all that we every day see, just you and me, the sea,

Remember our day together, our time In the sun sailing Along the horizon line.

Sail away with me, forever we’ll sail together until go away forever.

TAMMY

TAMMY

It doesn’t matter whether you give a shit about me or me about you.

You have done so much evil against many people in our family and others.

Taking your ex-husband’s life insurance money instead of giving to his family

is bad enough. Do you ever look into the mirror and say: why am I like this?

Treating a handicapped person like shit, especially when she’s your sister is

a most horrible and pathetic deed. What you did to our mother is the worst ever.

Tormenting and harassing her while she was sick up until she died is so hateful.

I hope you can live with yourself as you can remember it forever.

Her specific wish was that Cheryl never live with you and she is never around you.

Mom was so disappointed in you as a daughter, she told the family that you are a liar.

I don’t care if you believe it, everyone knows it and it has been going around.

You try to preach God but you are so fucked up and mean, definite sociopath.

You must be so secretly miserable and unhappy to be the way you are, the things you do.

I just thought you should take a look at yourself as you are not a pretty sight.

My sister, Tammy Keener Leal.

SADNESS INSIDE A CLOWN

SADNESS INSIDE A CLOWN

You did not see paint on his face, he wore no funny hat,

No big red nose or big floppy feet, no funny costume, he was a man.

Not a clown as a clown might seem to be, his appearance just as you and me,

Always a smile on the outside for you and me, he made us all laugh, tears we didn’t see.

He was Robin, he had quite a life yes indeed, that which hurt his soul none of us could see.

I wish I could have known him, how fortunate his friends and family were to have loved,

He was once a boy, he ran and played just as all children do, his name would become legend,

Robin Williams the person, sadness inside a clown, why did this have to happen to you.

SEE THE DAY

SEE THE DAY

Don’t go anywhere, this is your day to see a piece of the world,

A chance for you to stop for just a short time and look around.

See the day, stand and watch the sunrise as it is early morning,

Awake is the birds, nature is alive working always to survive.

A slight breeze, feel It as there is no other place for you to be,

Watch the branches dance as the shadows follow along.

See the beautiful, blue, sky, maybe a few clouds drifting on by,

See the day, watch the people moving, wandering many different ways.

Notice the beauty of plants you take each day for granted, beauty seen,

See the sun travel as time ticks away, soon the end of your rare, never forgotten day.

See the day, never to busy to see the beginning or end to your every day.

THE BULLY

THE BULLY

He has a name, lives do he in a neighborhood, maybe yours,

You have met him before, perhaps a lifetime ago in school, he still lives.

He knows of many people and he’ll meet many more, not a friend is he,

I saw him once before, not in a dream but in my childhood reality.

More than one time did I meet him, he thought he was special as

He followed me through my younger days or waited for me to get to school.

He never goes away fore he is the cowardly bully who waits every day,

Always seeking out the weak, scared, and usually the peaceful one.

The bully torments until his weakness and cowardly ways are found out,

Although he will lose his power, again he is born with another face.

I still to this day see the bully and he has many faces of ugliness,

He can no longer touch me, He knows I’m not afraid.

The bully goes too far and each day he disappears.

RUST FROM TIME

RUST FROM TIME

Sometimes to recall childhood days are lost with what life takes away,

A bicycle of color sits for years until its age is seen through cobwebs so clear.

A shed or a box of stored away and at times forgotten treasures are again a thought,

Going back to a place where once we stood on sidewalks of ghosts, friends we knew.

Trees grow taller, houses rest where inside we once knew those with faces and names,

Hills, where we wandered, have disappeared with this changing world.

Nothing seems to stay the same, faces fade, children we knew all go away,

There are those times when I can just stand there and somewhere in the wind,

When the night is quiet, there’s a fragrance in the air, that feeling of that yesterday.

Like a cloud or veil as the seasons change and we all go our separate ways,

Thoughts change, some memories drift with passing winds.

Rust from time, if so blessed then may we all play the memories in our minds

For just a little while longer.

RISE UP

RISE UP!

Anywhere and everywhere the enemy hides throughout the world,

They are not counted as their number is growing in silence.

They are of sick minds as they plot, attack, and steal lives from family,

Their belief that they are heaven bound for killing is a false belief, a fantasy.

Terrorism of any kind deserves a train ride to hell as it has no color,

Something has been so wrong in this world since the dawn of man.

Rise up! together we need to stand on our feet, join hands around the world,

It is a really scary thing but we are all in trouble, dangerous times are here.

A story not so pretty, the sun still shines on our every day but we must see it all,

In between the beauty and our everyday dreams remains echoes of a worlds screams.

Never can we allow ourselves to be fooled by that which we read or the big speech,

Rise up all people and question the lies that are told and don’t be easily deceived.
