IMPOSSIBLE?

Impossible things, are they to be Imagined,

To walk on the moon, travel to mars.

See and touch the oceans floor,

Climb a mountain and reach for more.

It can be done, walking from coast to coast,

Break the sound barrier, faster than the speed of sound.

Travel in a balloon, across the world you go,

Fly in the sky, jump from the highest height.

Impossible things, Impossible you say,

To rid the world of disaster and cancer,

Can this be a possibility one day.

To love one another, hold hands across this world,

Terror put to an end, war only a bad dream.

To all impossible things, too the next one whom

Can make it a reality.

DOES SILENCE MAKE A SOUND?

Dusk approaches, there’s a quiet silence,

A calming feel at the days end.

Does silence make a sound, ?

A crickets soft chirp noticed.

A breeze moving gently through the trees,

A plane that fly’s so high beneath the stars.

The tone of a whisper spoken in her ear,

In the far off distance the bark of a dog is heard.

Ones own heartbeat echoes inside,

A mosquito in the evening, the sound goes by.

The sleeping child breathing in the night,

An owl in a tree, quiet as can be.

Does silence make a sound,? listen as it’s found.

I’M ALIVE!

My heart beats, each breath taken is a breath to be not taken for granted,

The blood runs through my veins as every moment is a moment i’ll see.

There’s a fragrance of herbs in the garden, life lives around me darling,

The wind is felt upon my face as i watch the sun move across the open sky.

Something lost and something gained as another day slips away,

Never knowing what to expect from another morning born, I’m alive!.

The air we take in isn’t for free, the price we pay to live in gods mystery,

Love holds no promises, love comes to stay and love drifts away, I’m alive!.

We are the fortunate ones if the chance is for us to laugh or cry one more time,

Share a kiss, a hug, take that last walk with a love along the ocean shore, once more.

I’d just like to say I’m alive!, “yes darling” everyday I’m alive!.

THESE BOYS OF SUMMER

BY KEITH GARRETT

They come to play, these men of the field,

All dressed the same for this game they don’t fear.

Nine men with a number and a name on their back,

The goal is to defend and conquer this enemy whom will attack.

A crowd will gather in support of these warriors well trained,

They’ll cheer till the end, this battle of power that has its own name.

One by one each stands at the plate,

As one lone attacker throws his weapon their way.

With a bat in his hands he defends his ground,

A crack that echoes can be heard if he strikes back

At him what was thrown from the mound.

They dive and they jump to stop what’s sent their way,

Too hold back the attack of nine men here today.

These boys of Summer who fight to become champions

Of the game to be remembered for what they have done.

IF I COULD MAKE IT ALRIGHT

My eyes i would give you and be blind so you could see,

So that you could hear the sounds of the world, deaf i would be.

I would give up my voice that you may sing out your song,

Hold onto your hand when the pain of life becomes too strong.

If i could make it alright, any sickness for you would be my fight,

If i could make it alright, my sleep i would lose so you may rest through the night.

My heart is mine just as your heart belongs to you,

If i could make it alright then know that my heart i would give to you.

The ultimate gift would be to give so that another could live,

If your heart did cease to beat then my life i would give to you.

UNTIE MY SHOES

The night is dark and quiet, a breeze is in the air,

I’ll rest up for the night, barefoot and feeling alright.

The morning soon will come to life, open my eyes,

Put on my shoes and get ready for the day, a new day.

Work outside from sun till it’s done, heat or rain,

Whatever it takes to see the job done under the falling sun.

Whether it be sweat or cold, i’ll make it young or old,

When the day is gone then it’s time to stroll home.

Tired feet but life is so sweet, in my yard again for the night,

Untie my shoes is the thing that i’ll do,

Off they go until the morning is known.

STRANDED ON THE MOON

Left here for awhile, what is needed lay at my side,

There is no air but the gift of breath is with me now.

From this place it is that the universe is alive,

In all directions everything created is before these eyes.

Comets zoom by with the greatest of speed,

Stars are bright, everyday appears as night.

Asteroids are somewhere out there, everywhere,

I sit here stranded on the moon among the cosmos.

The sun is so bright with fire, burning in the dark,

The only thing i can’not see is heaven, where are you.?

The earth is spinning faster than i have ever Imagined it to,

Like a dream to see the oceans and a world not so big

Compared to what is seen from here.

LOST IN THE WILD

To step outside the world I’ve known,

Leave it all behind and those whom know me.

Off on a great journey to see it all,

Into the wilderness as if nothing else matters anymore.

To try things never tried before,

Experience life through a new open door.

Perhaps a fear of what lies ahead,

I trek across the land, survive if i can.

See many new things from my eyes,

Into the night i hear nature cry.

Not expecting never to go home again,

Lost in the wild is where my life ends.

LAST NIGHT I DREAMED

Last night i dreamed i was a child,

The horror, sadness, all emotions seemed so real.

As if someone had taken him away,

Searched did i everywhere,Oh! the pain.

In my dream another gone, one disappearing,

This was not real as i was dreaming.

In my dream i saw paper napkins floating down stream,

Representing the loss, them going away.

In my dream i awoke, A dream within a dream,

As if i now understood the full meaning.

When i did awaken i felt relief,

They did not die, they were not taken.

It was truly understood, My children were now gone,

There was some loss as they would not return.

My children of whom i loved so much were reborn

                                   Into the adult world,

I’ll forever miss the laughter and play of the young Innocent ones.

AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL

Stand up to the morning light, watch and see the beautiful sunrise,

Step outside and open your eyes to the mountains, so amazing.

Trees in the forests have been standing tall for many a mans lifetimes,

Beautiful is the river rushing below, beautiful are the trees.

An ocean watched from the shore, watched for thousands of years before,

How amazing is the ocean as all oceans come together forever.

Hot by day but cold in the night is the desert of spectacular sights,

Amazing and beautiful are the deserts created everywhere.

Just to be there in the dark and gaze upon a full moon high in the sky,

Beautiful is the light, amazing is this sight in the night.

Stars have been a mystery through out time, they dance in the sky,

Amazing and beautiful are the stars, amazing and beautiful is the masterful

Creation arranged by god.
