JUDGED AND JAILED

My quest for peace should be an easily obtained request,

I am one whom may be of anger but is not of violence.

Ask only do i to be left alone when so desired,

If not left alone as I’ve asked  then on the defense i am.

When walking then i am on the move in my own space,

To be stopped, detained without respect or decency

Will be a warning of much dislike.

When quiet and of no threat it is that i am called unfriendly,

These words spoken from lips of those of Ignorance and judgement.

There are two faces, two different sides to the world,

To be judged and jailed does not have to mean of guilt.

False sentences, deception, motives of ones dark side,

This can be a prison without walls or a locked door.

There’s an Invisible jury, one that can’not be seen,

It lives among us each day, why does it not go away.

My quest for peace has been long searched for,

It lives within me as my walls are built brick by brick.

I am the guard, I hold the key, nothing can take this from me.

EDWARD AND BELLA

From two different worlds they come,

Same age, separated by many years.

She’s a girl from a lonely place in her mind,

He comes from far away in time.

She comes home to where she began,

His soul is in heaven as he lives a certain hell.

Edward and Bella, she is of the living, he the not dead,

She is of warmth, he is of cold skin.

He is not evil, can there be love in a dead mans heart,

What is love and whom or what may we love in such an upside down world.

Two brought together in a Washington town,

Forks is the name where for them, happiness is found.

Edward and Bella, one mortal, the other vampire,

Fore love is love in a time of desire.

INTO THE WOODS

Leave behind the concrete jungle and everyday expectations,

Step out of your work shoes and into another frame of mind.

Away from the pain and sorrow of what a love destroys,

Your heart and mind, leave far behind.

Walk your feet into a world of darkness,

Hearing only the crunch of what’s beneath you.

No stress or the fast pace of it all,

Only trees that watch as you pass by them all.

Where all is quiet except creatures that stir,

This is a different world where you will not be heard.

No worry’s or crying over what’s out there,

Into the woods, alone i am there.

HEY! HEY! THEY WERE THE MONKEY’S

Hey! Hey! they were the monkey’s, use to be here but where did they go,?

Way back in the sixties they had their own T.V. show.

They were all pretty silly and funny, an odd bunch wouldn’t you say,

People still love to watch them, oh! yes to this very day.

Davy was English, a short sort of a lad,

A voice made for singing, banging the Tambourine that he had.

Peter was like Harpo, quiet but funny,

A piece of the puzzle to make them as one.

Mike played his guitar and could really sing,

Some what as the leader to all four he would bring.

Mickey was funny, had a voice, and could play the guitar,

Back in the past, maybe a pop star.

Mickey Dolenz, Davy Jones, Mike Nesmith, Peter Tork.

THIS BOY FROM TUPELO

From Mississippi, born quite some time ago,

The name of Elvis would be forever known.

Gospel music, he could sing very well,

Growing up in a town where the poor would dwell.

He loved his mother, to her a song he would sing,

Noticed by a man named Sam, to a boy, fame this would bring.

Moving on to Memphis, a place in Tennessee,

A mansion known as Graceland, now the home for he.

Always near by, on him an eye they keep,

Called the Memphis mafia is whom they would be.

A show he puts on in such places well known,

All over the world his legend has grown.

When his time came the lord made his visit,

Away Elvis went with him, to the music we still listen.

THE YELLOW BRICK ROAD

Through a twister she journeyed across the sky,

From her home in Kansas she and her dog said goodbye.

To fantasy from reality in a place she fell,

Of tiny people in this land, where they did dwell.

If home is where she wanted then a walk she would take,

Down a long road of yellow brick to a city she would make.

Along the way, three friends she would meet,

Searching for something, each one was unique.

Till the end they would fight a wicked soul,

Conquer and receive what it was they were told.

Click your heels together, one, two, three,

There’s no place like home, back there she would be.

MYSTICAL TUNES OF LONG AGO

Like mystical knights from a time long since past,

These three surviving warriors are back at last.

A golden god wailing tunes that echo through our minds,

With emotion to his audience, a performer so fine.

From a magical guitarist born back in time,

Plays a bow on the strings like a wizard casts a spell.

On his Organ he plays sounds like they were made up in heaven,

Also a guitar would be another weapon.

Together a power none dreamed of before,

A masterpiece of song never seen on a stage floor.

Missing from them, one fallen warrior whose hammering

On his drums shook the ground like thunder,

They called him Bonzo, now a spirit in a new world of wonder.

From England they were born some time ago,

Their music lives on forever you know.

Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Bonham, John Paul Jones.

FROM THESE EYES SEEN

What do i dream, look into my eyes, what do i see,

To you are my eyes beautiful, what do your eyes see.?

My eyes shine in the light, they’re a color of brown,

A face i wear but you do not see, you will not see me.

From these eyes seen are amazing and wonderful things,

In my time there have been tears shown to you, why.?

These eyes take in all that will appear before them,

Do you know me, have you seen me before.

THEY WERE DIFFERENT

He walked down the street full of laughter and fun,

He was poor with no money but no worry’s had he.

She was from a different world, of money and material things,

A young woman with everything but she had nothing.

He was free with dreams that were possibly only dreams,

What he wanted was only to be, what he wanted was she.

She was art, dance, and culture passed on by a family,

What she wanted was to be set free, treasure was not just money.

He appeared as a man whose clothing meant he had no worth,

But what is the worth of a well dressed man with no Integrity.

They were different she and he, drawn together by feelings,

The heart, the eyes, the touch of man to woman and woman to man.

They were different but they were the same, walking hand in hand,

With what’s love and pain.

STANDING BY THE RIVER

Walking along a path, my ears took in the sound,

The loud rushing of water in the distance.

There she stood staring out into the scenery,

A woman of such beauty all alone.

I didn’t make a sound as the words of her song echoed all around,

A voice so soft but filled with the power of a tune.

Standing by the river in the middle of nowhere,

No horse did she ride, from where did she come.

Dressed she was not for a dangerous hike

But like that of an angel in white,

She did not see me but did she know i was there.

Listen did i as she sang from her heart,

As i turned to walk away, she turned and waived.

Never a word between us, her song i could still hear far away.
