CARTOON LAND

                 CARTOON LAND

Remember the Flintstones, they lived in Bedrock,

The Jetsons were from the future, they were up high.

Scooby-Doo looked for food, mumbled words, always
 Scared,
Popeye the sailor man sought strength from his Spinach.

Felix the cat and his magic bag of tricks,

Milton the monster blew smoke from his head.

Johnny Quest out there in space,

They called him space ghost, a boy, a girl,
 And a monkey.
The fantastic four all had their special power,

Captain America fought for all that was good,

Gigantor the robot, speed racer in his magic car.

The Amazing three and Superman of course,

Magilla Gorilla, Bugs Bunny, or the Road runner.

Yosemite Sam with guns in hand, Elmer Fudd after
 the rabbit,
They come from fantasy, imaginations of dreaming minds.

All live together forever, many more of their kind,

In cartoon land, it's there where you'll find.

CANE IN HAND

              CANE IN HAND

We start out young just as the early morning
 Sunrise,

Follow a path do we watching the sun make its
 Way along.

Journey do we through the days just as the light
 Slowly lessens,

Along the way we see many things, the sun passes
 Over all there is.

The sun will one day set, as of now it does slowly
 move to the west,

Darkness will one day fall just as we will all grow
 From young to old.

Cane in hand we are found, at sunset, the sun
 Going down.

WHAT DOES THE SKY SEE

             WHAT DOES THE SKY SEE

From up so high looking down upon,

Does the sky see me as I look back.

On the hills' the wind blows' through the
Trees, And swims does the ocean,

Is this what the sky sees If only It had eyes.

Can It see the birds' fly,

Or the squirrels' climb the trees In the
 Morning light.

 What does the sky see,

Possibly only what your Imagination dreams'.

THY HEALING BREATH

               THY HEALING BREATH

With a heart so pure, filled with love,
 He does heal,

Pain and suffering taken away, a gift given,
 A miracle.

With energy so strong and a powerful feeling
 For life,

From within his being, coming out Is a healing
 Touch.

The hurt and agony Is felt by this man, In his
 Heart and mind,

This misery and fear, he'll take from you Into
 His own body.

With his breath he'll Inhale the sadness and
 Death from you,

The cancer and ugliness of the world, he'll
 Exhale and blow out.

Into the wind, away from the good that lies within.

Thought to be bad but In reality a good man judged
 Badly,

Who he Is, you could not understand, thy healing
 Breath, lies in this man.

UNIVERSE

                    UNIVERSE

Created within me Is the answer to the
 Beginning of time,

Is there a start or finish, an end or
 Beginning to what's mine?

In many a direction I must be,

 Everything travels' through my darkness,
Who knows What there is to see.

Older than anything, how long have I really
 Existed,

Where do I come from, Is the answer a mystery
 Never to be discovered.

All things' that live within my space,

Rotating forever, will they always be In
 This place?

I am the universe, not knowing what I really
 Am,

With no air or much light, not a visitor
 From your land.

I'll stay here, who can say just how long,

Perhaps till an end comes to my time.

TO CATCH THE WIND

                 TO CATCH THE WIND

Out there free In the early morning light
 From the sky,

A shadowy figure stands motionless as the wind
 Blows across the land.

Feeling the fresh air swirling around this
 Powerful spirit,

It raises Its' head to the rising sun.

Miles and miles to the North, South, East,
 And west,

This great beast can run under the wide open sky.

This miracle of nature, a magnificent creation
 From heaven,

With speed and quickness, gallops to everywhere.

Such a gentle friend which stands up tall,

Fast, Oh! so fast he may run, and run to catch
 the wind.

TRAIN RIDE

                     TRAIN RIDE

Awaiting Its' arrival as here It comes to
 Take me away,

Sounds like thunder rumbling down the track,
 Whistling.

Puffing black smoke up Into the air, Its'
 Headlight shining,

This monster of steel Is here, time for me to
 Climb aboard.

Listen to the hissing from this steam engine,
 Hear it!

We take off heading through the hills' with much
 To see.

From out of the window stare do I as we pass
 Through,

Darkness from within a mountain carved out a
 Passage.

Tons of rock and dirt hanging above us as we
 Travel,

Moving through this tunnel Into the light, sun
 Going down.

I listen to the sound of the power of this
 Traveling train,

Out of the window Is a clear sky as the light
 From the full moon

Shines down, guiding our way across the land.

“TWO”

                   TWO

One and one create a two, In the afternoon
 A time of two,
In the dark of night, early morning strikes
 The clock at two.
In the park walk a man and woman, hand In hand
 They are two,
Feet In the sand, once a girl I knew, we were
 One but we were two.
I've loved only once as I've shared my life with
 Few, only two,
Now It Is that this man walks alone, he has
 Wandering feet of two.
In a world seen In time, time lost, the passing
 Of time, years of two,
Time to understand why there Is no longer us,
 The way we were two.
Remember the love, a day when we were something,
 Thoughts of two,
I remember yesterday was today, I think of you
And the passing years of two.

TRIALS OF A MAN

                  TRIALS' OF A MAN

Once a child, a small boy from many seasons'
 Past,

In this time and place destined to be a man.

Through many battles I've had to persevere,

Like heading Into a strong neverending wind.

I'm learning to move away from the confrontation,

Choosing a new direction, energy not wasted.

Struggling to do everything right as I walk forward,

Positive lessons' to take ahead, I've learned from
 My past.

At one time I put away my faith, put It high on
 A shelf,

Keep living, keep moving along, and try always.

I've had losses and love lost but this won't end me,

 In this, things gained simultaneously.

I still seek some of what's been lost, still within
 Reach,

Some gone forever, forever a memory.

TREASURES OF THE LORD

               TREASURES OF THE LORD

Into the darkness I stepped, wandering
 Down a road,
Left behind the trust and care for those
 Whom hurt my soul.
Alone I've stood on a hill so high, at the
 Edge of the mountain,
There was nothing for me to see, blinded by
 What is humanity.
Is this place I am in a creation of my own anger
 And non-believing,
Does darkness fade as the sun appears again
 For a blind man?
I've opened these eyes and learned to see
 His masterpiece,
The hills that are alive that rest beneath God's
 Wide-open sky.
The wind that sings as It blows through the
 Ever so high trees,
Rain that falls below Is a gift to us so that
 We may watch life grow.
From the sea to all that we need to be Is for
 Us because he,
Only he had a thought, the power to Imagine
 That which we see.
Treasures of the lord were placed down upon
 From heaven,
Only the greed of a man has stolen that which
 To him belongs not.
Every time I open my eyes the treasures of the
 lord are seen,
These are a gift, a reality that even the blind
 May see.
