TWO
One and one create a two, In the afternoon
A time of two,
In the dark of night, early morning strikes
The clock at two.
In the park walk a man and woman, hand In hand
They are two,
Feet In the sand, once a girl I knew, we were
One but we were two.
I've loved only once as I've shared my life with
Few, only two,
Now It Is that this man walks alone, he has
Wandering feet of two.
In a world seen In time, time lost, the passing
Of time, years of two,
Time to understand why there Is no longer us,
The way we were two.
Remember the love, a day when we were something,
Thoughts of two,
I remember yesterday was today, I think of you
And the passing years of two.

Author: Man of many thoughts
TRIALS OF A MAN
TRIALS' OF A MAN
Once a child, a small boy from many seasons'
Past,
In this time and place destined to be a man.
Through many battles I've had to persevere,
Like heading Into a strong neverending wind.
I'm learning to move away from the confrontation,
Choosing a new direction, energy not wasted.
Struggling to do everything right as I walk forward,
Positive lessons' to take ahead, I've learned from
My past.
At one time I put away my faith, put It high on
A shelf,
Keep living, keep moving along, and try always.
I've had losses and love lost but this won't end me,
In this, things gained simultaneously.
I still seek some of what's been lost, still within
Reach,
Some gone forever, forever a memory.

TREASURES OF THE LORD
TREASURES OF THE LORD
Into the darkness I stepped, wandering
Down a road,
Left behind the trust and care for those
Whom hurt my soul.
Alone I've stood on a hill so high, at the
Edge of the mountain,
There was nothing for me to see, blinded by
What is humanity.
Is this place I am in a creation of my own anger
And non-believing,
Does darkness fade as the sun appears again
For a blind man?
I've opened these eyes and learned to see
His masterpiece,
The hills that are alive that rest beneath God's
Wide-open sky.
The wind that sings as It blows through the
Ever so high trees,
Rain that falls below Is a gift to us so that
We may watch life grow.
From the sea to all that we need to be Is for
Us because he,
Only he had a thought, the power to Imagine
That which we see.
Treasures of the lord were placed down upon
From heaven,
Only the greed of a man has stolen that which
To him belongs not.
Every time I open my eyes the treasures of the
lord are seen,
These are a gift, a reality that even the blind
May see.

THROUGH DIFFERENT EYES
THROUGH DIFFERENT EYES
There we are together standing, as the sun
Disappears,
Only a lonely tree keeps' us company, we are
Alive!
Many colors' rest In the open sky as day turns'
To night,
We stand together yet apart with our own vision
Of life.
Through different eyes do we see the same things',
As only our thoughts' create a separate way of
Seeing them.
We are two souls' occupying the same earth,
Dreaming, wondering,
Watching the world In two directions', seeing a
Different way, imagine.

FROM HEAVEN, CARE YOU HEAR ME?
FROM HEAVEN,
CAN YOU HEAR ME?
I look to the sky, can you see me through
The clouds,
I'm standing here Lord, what shall I do to
Make it today?
From my eyes there are many tears that flow
To no end,
In this body It Is my heart that cries for your
Help to ease my sorrow.
Stand by me when my loneliness Is much more
Than I care bare,
Take away this pain and anger that live In my
Soul as I move forward.
Take from me these nightmares that visit when
I sleep oh! please,
Let me rest as my body feels' so very tired
From this plight.
From heaven, can you hear me, do you know who
I am,
Will you listen as I ask for your guiding hand?

FACES OF CLOWNS
FACES OF CLOWNS'
Disguises are worn, they hide a world of fear,
Hidden with colors' of false smiles or frozen
Frowns.
We laugh and we dance, juggle our thoughts'
And emotions,
Our world Is a cage, a circus of freaks' and
Entertainment.
We challenge our own mortality, on a high wire
We dance,
Shot through a cannon to where we may land,
Life in hand.
Faces of clowns', dressed In costumes, they
Seem secure,
Acts put on for children, are they not the young
Whom have tears.
We dress In our own costumes, put on a face
That we choose,
Is what appears' real only a magicians' magic,
A trick of sorts.
Whatever expression we wear, whatever makeup
We're made of,
Faces of clowns', we all live with faces of clowns.

EMMA
EMMA
She walked along the shore, on a beach,
Many years before,
Young and beautiful, her life seen before
Her eyes, some time ago.
Long, dark hair with a smile that brightens up
That which is in sight,
A simple life with the wind blowing through
Her hair, a lifetime ago.
Her name is Emma, she walks along the shore
A different way now,
Shorter hair of a silver gray, a smile that is
Less as the years have taken.
Eyes that sparkle a little less with the sun
Going down on an aging life,
Her name is Emma, she walks much slower with
The wind through her hair.
She may disappear but she will forever walk
Along the shore.

FACE TO FACE
"FACE TO FACE"
Children disappear, we are who we are
In this today,
I now Imagine you, your face, an unbelievable
Smile.
Yesterday shows' your face to me, today my
Mind wanders,
Reasons' for all things', does now have a
reason.
Face to face, come show your everlasting
Beauty to me,
Face to face Is a simple concept, what might
Be seen.
Feelings' from the heart are held onto through
The years,
Soon face to face maybe we understand, spend a
Day with this friend.

LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND
" LEAVING IT ALL BEHIND"
I stop where I'm standing, looking around,
What Is this madness born to us all.
Leaving my work, my home, and the things
Known to me,
Go away to a place up high, way back In the hills'.
There are no people of jugement to listen too,
The loud sounds' of tragedy lost In my travel.
There Is no anger or the struggle to survive,
Out here, only nature to hear me cry.
Leaving It all behind,
The life that was once mine.

A CHANCE TO SEE
A CHANCE TO SEE
A chance to see fore never have I been able
to walk in light,
A chance to watch the sunrise as never before
Seen but dreamed.
A chance to see the trees sway in the wind as
the wind never seen,
A chance too see the mountains that I never
Thought a reality.
A chance to see the clouds so big in the sky,
Drifting slowly by,
A chance to see the waves in the ocean only
Heard through time.
A chance to walk without a cane, to be free,
Walk, and see,
A chance to see a smiling face that might
Smile back at me.
A chance to see all the things that I have
Always dreamed,
A chance to see what's never been before
these eyes,
A chance, a chance, to see what is in front of me.
