A CHAMPION YOU ARE
You tee off at dawn with club in hand,
Swinging for your target, you take your stand.
Giving up is not what you do,
Eighteen holes, whatever it takes to make it
Through.
Walking the course no matter how tired,
Strength and fight are in you to win this match.
On to another day, one more tee off,
Again swinging that club till the end.
Every sunset under par, Always a champion you are.

A BRIDGE I CROSS
A BRIDGE I CROSS
Far it reaches through my time,
My travel across it a neverending journey.
Obstacles are sometimes in my way,
I'll hurdle over or push out of my way.
Moving along searching, always searching,
For just a little more of things not to hurt me.
Not ever knowing what's ahead,
Stop I will not until the end.

A BOAT LOST
A BOAT LOST
Slowly floating, adrift In waters' so calm,
Why does It have no travelers, alone.
Fog and mist surround this shape of wood,
Where has It been, where does It travel.
No answers' does It give to questions,
Drifting, slowly drifting to a place of nowhere.

PAGES
PAGES
My life starts' out like a book, not yet
A cover,
Nothing Inside, page one still not printed.
My story constantly being written with every
Breath,
How many pages there will be not known till
The end.
This title was Imagined before my creation,
Cover to cover Is mine to write as I walk my life.
With each turning page I Illustrate my own time,
The one before this just a memory In my mind.
Stay open It does until my story Is told,
Until I've been published, this mans' book
Will not be closed.

MOTHER, DON’T LET ME DIE!
MOTHER, DON'T LET ME DIE
I'm a child, only a child who lies here
Under rubble dying!
This I did not ask for but my fate rests In
God's powerful hands.
I'm afraid fore I'm In such pain, why,! Oh
Why! must I die,
The Earth exploded with a thundering sound
All around.
Lord, as I lie here It Is that I think of my
Mother, oh! mother,
Please take this from me, the fear and the
Pain, I'm coming.
"Mother" don't let me die! I need you tonight
At my side,
Tears run down this little girls face, mother!
Don't let me die.
If I must go then please In heaven make It so,
Let me go,
" Mother" " mother" please don't cry, mother!
Don't let me die.

HEART AND SOUL
HEART AND SOUL
Everything I've got, what's Inside of me
Strong,
Pours' out with energy, stopped I can not be,
Give up I will not.
Stand and take notice as I conquer what
Invades my spirit,
Emotionally grow do I, strength and power
Absorbed within this soul.
Heart of the lion, oh! I do possess, listen
To me, Hear me roar,
Weakness stares at me, such a pathetic coward
It is, Look away.
Fear and sorrow attack and Intimidate who I am,
Rise up and fight,
Walking away, turn and gaze over my shoulder
Leaving it behind.
Hear what this man has to say, do you know
That which lives in me,
I grow and grow fore I have the heart and soul.

JUST AN ECHO
"JUST AN ECHO"
If you listen carefully your memories can
Be heard,
Words' and phrases spoken or listened too
Are recorded.
Thoughts' In your head feel at times louder,
Just an echo,
Sounds' and scenes from a lifetime played over,
Can you hear.
Noises from children playing back when just a
Child, Just a child,
Friends' from long ago, just an echo In time,
Listen, they can be heard.
In the span of a lifetime like the wind moving by,
created in an instance,
An echo In time we will be, just an echo In time
For you and me.

IS LIFE BUT A DREAM
IS LIFE BUT A DREAM?
When we go to bed do we go to sleep,
Are we already dreaming of the life that
We believe?
Are the things' that we see Imaginary or real,
Is there another life that we live and feel?
Is our reality here and now,
Are we a thought of someone else somehow?
Could It be that we are In another ones mind,
In some other place, In some other time?
Maybe In a coma for a period not known,
When we wake up to a life not our own.
What does It all mean,
Is life but a dream?

BOARD GAME
BOARD GAME
Watch the world as the pieces move never
Ending, the world turns,
We start from a beginning moving with a roll
Of the dice, a card chosen.
Does God watch as we play, is he in our every
Move?
Round and round we go as this board game of life
Takes us away.
Is the game played right, do we understand the
Consequences of our choice?
Are we the players or are we being played, is there
A point to the game.
Could the game be everlasting or does it end in
A moment for some,
Spin the wheel, flip a coin, take a chance and
Walk your own path.

BETWEEN DARKNESS AND LIGHT
BETWEEN DARKNESS AND LIGHT
The sun shines bright, it then fades into
The dark of night,
Just as the heart and soul of a human crawl
From the light into dark.
To hide from the pain and sorrow of a tragic day,
Hide inside and go away,
Try and forget in ways that at the time seem fine
To a broken mind.
Trauma is a most unpleasant visitor as it has no
Sympathy or kindness,
Steals from one the smile and sometimes brings
forever scars. much fear,
Falling, a deep hole in which a soul believes
No escape, hurting the self appears the way,
A path of destruction with no turning back,
But wait! there is surely a chance.
You found your way lost, between darkness and light,
You must fight to make it back,
Something has happened that ripped you apart, not
Fair but it was God's will.
He knew you would fall, your test would be to
Find your way back from the darkness,
You climbed out of that hole and with his hand
You also found your way back to the light,
Today holds a piece of yesterday, forever a thought,
Life does move ahead, another day.
