HEAVEN’S TEARS

HEAVEN’S TEARS

A miracle this must be, is it tears of joy,

Tears for the world, do they cry for what is seen?

Something so needed, necessary to sustain life,

Heaven’s tears are that which is needed to clean,

For the rivers too flow, fish live and nature moves along.

The oceans are there, waterfalls continue on a path of beauty,

Lakes fill with water, trees and shrubs need drops from the sky,

Heaven’s tears remain the food of life, do not cry and we will die.

HE DOES MATTER

HE DOES MATTER

Lord, he’s fighting a battle, you see as this happens,

I won’t ask why as sickness is everyday in this world.

He is scared and not feeling so well as you now know,

He will leave behind a family as I have just been told.

Ease his pain and fear as he waits for an angel to guide him,

This man is but one soul in a land of so many, he has a name.

His life needs to matter has been said, he does matter I will say!

He does matter to all whom do love him each and everyday.

He matters to you, his life has had meaning in all that he has done,

Help a brother who does carry this with him, a pain in his heart,

Be with a family at this most difficult time, once more I will say,

He does matter as his time slips away, take him with you, make him okay.

HE CLOSED HIS EYES

HE CLOSED HIS EYES

In the dark of night when the noise and trouble were alive,

He heard cries from the violence, he closed his eyes.

Flashing lights, gunshots lived in the only surroundings he knew,

What did he do, he closed his eyes to a tomorrow that would be new.

His name is Michael, from a bad place not pretty, a life had not a chance,

How did he make it out of there, He closed his eyes to the ugly side of life.

He closed his eyes to what made his mother cry, he would survive,

From a life filled with nothing to a professional football player in time.

JERRY LEWIS

JERRY LEWIS

I remember when I was a kid staying up late at night to watch

A Jerry Lewis movie, checking the T.V. guide to see if any movies

Would be coming on. I looked forward to a Friday or Saturday night

When one of my favorites would be showing. He made me laugh with

All the crazy things he would do. To me he was the greatest at physical

Comedy, the crazy faces he made while getting into so much trouble

Were so hilarious. A few of my favorites were At war with the Army,

The Stooge, Scared Stiff, and Jumping Jacks. I loved all of his movies

But when he and Dean Martin were together It was the best ever.

I watched the Jerry Lewis Telethon for years, trying to stay up all night

As the money kept rolling in. What he did for children was the greatest thing.

He should have received the Nobel Peace prize although he was nominated.

It Is a sad day now that he has gone away but his movies will live on everywhere.

Rest In peace Jerry Lewis, a great performer, you made me laugh, In heaven

You will be forever laughing.

GRANDPA

“GRANDPA”

Let me tighten your brains, he would say,

I’ll give you a wallop, this way he would play.

Memories of a man, a dear and wise soul,

Italian all the way, left and went away some time ago.

A player of the cards, a trick or to win the game,

He worked in the shipyard, hard at it everyday.

Born in nineteen eighteen, Louis John Cordischi,

Remember with me, grandpa Louie,

He has a home in heaven, shared with loved ones today.

As I write these words of a man far away,

I see his face and his smile, his voice heard by me.

DISMANTLING OF AMERICA

DISMANTLING OF AMERICA

History is a big part of the world, It will be always,

Good or bad we do learn from all that has happened.

There are reminders all over the planet of great things,

Discoveries, accomplishments that came with sacrifice.

There are statues and monuments throughout this land,

So many whiners offended by everything now, makes me sick.

Take down statues, disrespect cemeteries, get rid of all memories,

Every piece of art, paintings, wars, and battles make us who we are,

These are reminders of hard times and great achievements by many.

Is anyone offended by all the nuclear bombs all over the world, I am,

Can we start removing those today, too much crying over silly, not so important stuff.

There’s a war right here in America, hate towards each other, plenty of violence,

The dismantling of America is now moving faster, it comes in many forms,

The people of this country are doing it to themselves, we don’t need any help.

GOD’S MIRACLE

GOD’S MIRACLE

He seemed to have dropped from the sky,

No memory or thought of an earlier time.

A gift he had, a gift from god,

The gentle giant with a loving heart.

Guilty of nothing but judged just the same,

A healing hand, a gift with a burden.

His name was John, a miracle of god,

A sentence of death although a good man.

Soon he would die, a chance to be set free,

The gift that he had made him tired and weak.

But how could one of gods miracles be of any evil sort,

His name was John, never did he do anything wrong,

One of gods miracles has died and gone.

GETTING BACK HOME

GETTING BACK HOME

So badly have I wanted to go back to where i belong,

A house in a place where friends once visited and played.

Going back where everything has changed, nothing the same,

There are times when all dream about making that trip back.

It’s never the same when you try to go away back in time,

Getting back home, so many times we wish, but where is home?

A fantasy in our minds as time moves forward and we journey on,

We can travel back and see it for what it is but only in our thoughts of yesterday.

Getting back home, home is today, where we stand, older as we continue to dream.

FROM YESTERDAY

FROM YESTERDAY

Your voice was heard from yesterday,

echoing my friend, memories of a time and play.

Where did you go, lost from my life,

After thirty years, i heard you one night.

We walked the streets side by side, you and i,

Boys of mischief with dreams in our eyes.

From me to you, a best friend listened to again,

Once upon a Summer, barefoot in the wind.

From yesterday I could hear the voice of a friend,

Many miles into life, I hear once again.

We can’t get back those days gone by,

The gift of a chance for a friend and I.

Remember two boys from a long time ago,

They walked the streets, today they still dream.

WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE

WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE

Men are In charge of our world, Ignorance in suits,

Like children they bicker, should be sent to their rooms,

Bigger than a child who forgets to get a chore done.

Could a child do a better job, evil they would not understand,

Those whom control power are playing with our lives.

When worlds collide we fight over territory, who with bigger muscles,

This be a dangerous situation as strength is a bad motivation.

God made this world, when did we decide that we were more powerful?

With our childish minds we will destroy what has been created without care.

Men stand with differences, agendas more important than the end of the world,

What we want more than money or fame, we want it all, destruction is coming to us all.
