EVERYONE HAS A STORY

EVERYONE HAS A STORY

Before our first breath of life, our first day recognized,

A book, blank on the inside, pages not yet written.

The cover plain without scene or color, our story begins,

This is our book until the last page written, everyone has a story.

We begin with that which we first see, pictures created,

We have the choice too write this ourselves or be written about.

Live our lives through our own eyes, walk and dream, page by page,

We will learn and experience many things as we travel our chosen path.

There will be times when a road taken is not the one we might desire,

We will come across every emotion created and attempt to deal with it.

Everyone has a story to write, write it yourself until the last page,

When it’s time to put that pen down, rest your weary head.

EVERYDAY

EVERYDAY

Every day I wake whether there be sun or clouds,

I take in a breath fore I am so fortunate to have another.

The light of morning is shown to my ageing eyes,

Every day I am grateful to see the sky, feel the wind go by.

Walking along the streets, through the park many sights,

This is my every day, the birds visit my yard, nature plays.

To love and be loved is hoped for in one’s life, a blessing,

Every day holds no guarantees of anything but we keep the faith.

Every day will not be forever, not until we travel off to heaven.

EVERYBODY HURTS SOMETIMES

EVERYBODY HURTS SOMETIMES

Everybody hurts, everybody cries sometimes,

Everybody wants to be needed, can you even understand.

I am crying from within my soul, take a look within my eyes,

I want you to hear my words, does anybody care what happens to me now.

Everybody loves at one time, tears as if one day it drifts away, Do you cry,

Is it possible to love just one more time, time slips away into an olden age,

Everybody hurts sometimes, are we gathered here for one last time,

Does it hurt when life is so unkind, there are ghosts that linger within my mind,

Everybody hurts, are we all alone within our thoughts when the lights go out,

Shed a tear for the world tonight, everybody hurts, is everything alright, tonight.

ENTER HIS KINGDOM

ENTER HIS KINGDOM

Some have said that everyone is born with a sentence of death,

Life after, to live in eternity is said to be of the greatest peace.

There is a purpose for our lives here on this earth,

Lessons to understand, to feel and experience all emotions.

The greatest joy and gift that one may receive can only be a dream

As we live and breathe here in this world,

The thought of death, to die appears as something so horrible.

Life is a precious mystery that we all are given by god,

We are blessed with the chance and knowing that one day

When our time is here done that we will enter his kingdom.

Sin will be no more, pain, suffering, and hatred will die,

Everlasting love and beauty will be ours,

Enter his kingdom and live forever.

EMOTIONS FROM THE WIND

EMOTIONS FROM THE WIND

Listen to it on a stormy night, screams with an angry fright,

Does it cry out after as disaster strikes, invisible tears,

Can you hear the laughter from it blowing on a Spring day,

Is in it sadness as always must it go away, does the wind feel.

Emotions from the wind, a thought and fantasy from within,

We must dream and believe that possibilities are ours to be.

EMOTION IN HAND

EMOTION IN HAND

Pain in the mind is a heart felt thing,

Many sorrows to a soul it brings.

The hurt of a love lost is an experience not wanted,

Emotional trauma to ones mind like being haunted.

When transformed into a physical agony now a loss of control,

Brings a weakness of sorts to a man who is strong.

To let thoughts of your feelings take you to a place of self-destruction,

Is such a sad disappointment to those who love and count on you.

From the mind too the heart to the hand that breaks,

Emotional and physical pain must not touch.

ECHOES FROM THE MOUNTAIN

ECHOES FROM THE MOUNTAIN

From long ago, generation to generation stories told,

Fables and tales passed on, changing as they grow.

Beyond many Winters and long Summers, songs In the wind,

The lives of families whispered throughout a mountains time.

How long this mountain has stood can never be realized with eyes,

Echoes from the mountain, stories that drift with the passing sky.

The blowing wind, how many times has It passed across the mountain top,

What words speak from the wind, how many has the wind touched or moved.

Echoes from the mountain, voices of those who have forever passed through.

ECHOES AND SHADOWS

ECHOES AND SHADOWS

When the wind blows there are echoes in time,

Echoes of all that have passed on by.

The sounds of a lifetime, listen as the children have grown,

Echoes of voices lost with the emptying hourglass.

There are the echoes of those whom once lived,

Laughter of young ones, now part of the wind.

Shadows of the seasons, one by one gone,

Shadows remembered of a man standing in the sun.

Shadows of trees that stood tall in the sky,

Across mountain tops, shadows from morning till night.

Echoes and shadows from the beginning of time,

Time passed by, seen from many eyes.

DROPS OF BLOOD AT MY FEET

DROPS OF BLOOD AT MY FEET

Tears flow from my eyes, i wish not to care about their minds,

There is blood flowing through my veins, blood of the related of many years.

With every angry sound, from the time the earth started spinning around,

As each and every battle from war, cries echo for thousands of years, with sound.

Wounds that don’t heal as they surface with time, one wrong word, explosion from the mind,

Civilizations disappear, towns of people that once were are no more, things age and die.

Life is an unusual adventure, travel from a place of beginning onward to an earthly end,

Blood spills in many ways, blood of pain, sorrow, the hurt from loved ones red every day.

Drops of blood at my feet, they can not be seen but they visit me from painful dreams,

Blood soaked land, drops of blood at my feet, blood on the hands of many a man.

DRIVE! JUST DRIVE

DRIVE! JUST DRIVE

Jump into my car, the motor is running,

The morning sun is shining on this beautiful black machine.

I’ve put the top down, we’re gonna drive, just drive,

Feel the wind blowing through your hair, music in our ears.

Let’s head for the coast, we’ll drive along the ocean shore,

Miles and miles of open road, watch as the waves touch the sandy beach.

Let’s drive far, we have all the time we desire,

Through the hills of green grass, we’ll drive the country roads,

For miles there’s only you and me, drive! just drive.

Nothing but beauty is seen as we head for anywhere,

High into the mountains is where our day takes us.

Almost to the sky, we can see everything from where we drive,

We drive into the night, we drive, just drive.
