WORDS OF SADNESS

                WORDS' OF SADNESS

Goodbye from the lips' of a woman loved deep
 Inside,

I miss you, I miss you, Is a heart felt cry,
 I die.

Hate Is a word so strong that It sickens' the
 Soul,

Death has a sound, an ending all of Its' own.

Lost and sought but never again to be found,

Words' of pain, these words' of sadness.

Remembering love, remember It well, a word,

Letters' of words' of sadness, sad but true.

Are names but words' remembered but wished
 Forgotten,

Wanting and regret rest In the spirit of a saddened
 Man.

May words' of sadness turn to those of lessons,

May sadness fade Into words' of a happier today.

INTO THE WOODS

                   INTO THE WOODS

Leave behind the concrete jungle and every day
 Expectations,

Step out of your work shoes and Into another
 Frame of mind.

Away from the pain and sorrow of what a love
 Destroys,

Your heart and mind, leave far behind.

Walk your feet Into a world of darkness,

Hearing only the crunch of what's beneath you.

No stress or the fast pace of It all,

Only trees that watch as you pass by them all.

Where all Is quiet except creatures that stir,

This Is a different world where you will not be
 Heard.

No worries or crying over what's out there,

Into the woods, alone I am there.

I AM NOT A RICH MAN BUT RICH I AM

I AM NOT A RICH MAN

             BUT RICH I AM

I do not own a home or a treasure chest of gold,

Stocks and bonds are few, diamonds are a little too.

I am not a rich man as calculated by statistics and
 Daily man,

A special car or a vacation home does not show of
 My value.

I am not a rich man, estimated by paper money or
 material things,

But rich I am, If life is valued in a simple way,
 Just a regular day.

These things are free but of gold bars to me, listen
To what makes a rich man,

If love is in your day then rich you are in a most
 Special way.

I can walk and see with my every day, I breathe freely,
 I'm okay,

A roof over my head, clothes on my back, never to bed
 Am I hungry.

So much can cost money, beauty, staying healthy, a
 song you sing is free,

but rich I am, with that which is mine and my thoughts
 Every day.

FOR THIS LIFE

                FOR THIS LIFE

From a breath first taken, this is my life,

What has been a gift comes with scars of sacrifice.

We have a life, our roads chosen take us in unknown
 Directions,

For this life we accept the mystery and wonder.

They live and breathe from here and there just the
 Same,

Many to us are strangers, walking with names.

For this life she smiles at the morning's light,

A tear in her heart but she does not cry.

He has many dreams to Imagine as hope still
 survives,

He moves with the wind, he feels inside, for this
 Life.

You are passion and energy combined,

In constant motion it is you who lives for this life.

FROM A LONG TIME AGO

               FROM A LONG TIME AGO

I lived lifetimes ago on farmland worked with hands,
 A mans hands,
A family we were, my wife, children, and animals for
 Pets, back in time.
Possibly I went by the name of Sam, a man of principles,
 Of beliefs,
My children may have been raised to believe in the lord,
 Too respect.
If a wife I did have then she might have been a beautiful
 Woman,
She would have been a great cook and a fine and decent
 Person.
Imagine there would have been much love in our home,

Working hard from sunrise till sunset would have been
 This family.
Friends and neighbors with names now vanished into a
 Memory,
A town that may have existed but no longer alive, a
 Long time ago.
I may have been known as Sam from a long time ago,
 Maybe so,
Land I may have owned and worked my fingers to the bone.

It's possible this man of beliefs had a family that
 He loved so much,
I could have had children of whom grew up and had
 Families too.
To a man named Sam who may have lived a long time ago,

Who may have lived with a loving wife, children, and
 Had many
Caring and good friends, If I had known you from a
 Long time ago.

CAVE OF DARKNESS

                 CAVE OF DARKNESS

Have you ever been In a cave, was It light
 Wandering in,

Did you venture further Into the dark, cold,
 Wondering?

How far In do you think this cave of darkness
 Really goes,

Caves exist all over the world, many different
 and unusual types.

Bears are known to be a common visitor as well
 As other animals,

Who can say how long these caves have been there
 And what stories.

Maybe things of treasure have been buried and rest
 In there for centuries,

Are there those lost for such a long time now a
 Part of every caves darkness?

Many have explored and searched for hidden valuables
 Throughout time,

How many were lost, those who walked out were and are
 The fortunate ones,

A cave of darkness, mystery and adventure.

CATCH A DREAM

               CATCH A DREAM

We chase, search out and run as fast as we can,

While we sleep the greatest things can happen,

Run do we very fast, jump so very high to touch
 The sky.

Jump on the rooftop, flips in the air, slow motion
 If you please,
Always for me money floating down a stream, a pile
 In the street.

Just as it is grabbed by my hand disappears does it
 As I become awake,

We all have been there when a monster chases us and
 Then we are elsewhere.

Dreams are always so mixed up, at times tiring as we
 are in places of mystery,

Floating in the air, suddenly in a bubble, we drift
Onward to where nothing makes sense,

Catch a dream, hold on tight and bring it back home
 With you tonight, any night,

Catch a dream, dream to be all that you hope to be,
 Dream the pefect scene.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY, DAD

             HAPPY FATHERS' DAY,

                    DAD

I think of you often, memories are great,

Remember when they weren't memories but real?

Wow! Dad, you left and went away so many Fathers'
 Days ago,

Part of me went with you back when I was a child
 At only seven.

You have been loved forever, If this time on Earth
 Is how you're measured,

Another Fathers' Day, Dad, a most happy one to you,
 Peace always.
                  Love you, Dad

BETWEEN THE TREES

              BETWEEN THE TREES

From the road I step beyond, into another world,

Peaceful beauty is waiting as my morning begins.

No one here but me and whatever lives between the
 Trees,

Listen to the birds high above, what types sing
 Different songs?

I step into the darkened forest with my feet
 Crunching The aged leaves,

Quiet sounds are everywhere, things not seen, look
Close as they are to be.

Shadows move with the swaying branches just as they
 move with time,

Between the trees there is a most colorful, landscape
 To take in, follow me.

There is life here that has stood for many
 Generations beyond history,

Between the trees so many men and women have dreamed,
 All things seen

ALIVE ON THE INSIDE

          ALIVE ON THE INSIDE

There was a time when as a small boy I ran
 And played like others,

Reading books was my every day thing, I
 Remember a child's life.

Something was happening to me but I was scared
 And hoped it would fade,

A shaky hand turned Into a life that would become
A hell not for any man.

Slowly as I age, and young still I decay In my mind,
 My body does not function,

Control of my soul Is not mine as this horrible
 Monster conquers what is mine.

I do not realize that time goes by In the length of
So many years as I am dead but alive,

My existence Is known and seen by strangers and a
 Mother but no! not me.

I'm alive on the Inside but they think I've gone
Far, far, away, I have something to say,

If what Is hell could be worse than where I am then
I should not complain about my pain.

I want them to know that I am alive Inside, I am a
Person that has only died on the outside,

I am alive! I am alive!.
