HILLS' OF DARKNESS
Through the hills' I walk to find a place,
Of peace and happiness for a home I'll make.
Escape I will from times of darkness,
Into the light of day where I want to be.
Leave behind things' of the past,
Onward I walk till I find my path.
As my travels' through the hills' continue,
See do I clearer from my eyes.
These hills' of darkness I leave behind,
Out In the open, of better things' I'll find.

ARMS OF GOD
ARMS OF GOD
Outstretched, they reach far and wide, around
The world,
Fierce and strong, they can crush or destroy
What's needed.
Careful and loving as they will comfort when the
Going is tough,
A being so full of mystery, with power and wisdom
So unknown.
Creator of all that we know and more, arms of God
Will carry us home,
Wherever you may be, within all that we see, they
Exist to help us up.
Touching a universe that seems to have not an ending
Of discovery,
The arms of God are not to be seen as they are not a
Fantasy or a dream.

PROMISES
PROMISES
Blood of a man spills' from a wound created,
From a wounded heart runs' blood unseen.
Broken will be our spirits' by those we trust,
These are the words' of men with no morality.
Promises are made with the slip of a tongue,
Easily spoken from minds' without thought.
Hearts' and souls', those with no dreams',
They take what they can, from their hands' they
Squeeze.
Promises, promises, words' with no character,
From those with no heart, broken, always broken.

INTO THE WOODS
INTO THE WOODS
Leave behind the concrete jungle and every day
Expectations,
Step out of your work shoes and Into another frame
Of mind.
Away from the pain and sorrow of what a love
Destroys,
Your heart and mind, leave far behind.
Walk your feet Into a world of darkness,
Hearing only the crunch of what's beneath you.
No stress or the fast pace of It all,
Only trees that watch as you pass by them all.
Where all Is quiet except creatures that stir,
This Is a different world where you will not be heard.
No worries or crying over what's out there,
Into the woods, alone I am there.

FOREVER
"FOREVER"
Above from the wide open sky the sun shines
Ever so bright,
Will It warm our world always or one day say a farewell.
What If the wind that we can not see goes away,
Will It again blow across the hills and make the trees
Sway.
The glowing moon sits like a lighthouse In the sky,
Watching, always watching but for how long will It rise.
The rain falls from the sky, from the clouds that drift
On by,
Will the drops take from the Earth the thirst so as not
To die.
See the animals run through the woods and across the
Plains,
Today they live somewhat free, tomorrow will they be.
We live, we love, dance to the music, sing from our
Hearts,
Search for the happiness that makes It all worth living.
There are things that may be never, things never lost,
Nothing lasts forever fore forever we are not.

A PERFECT CRIME
A PERFECT CRIME
They think that they are of something unique,
No one ever is watching, no one sees, they think.
They plot and they plan, not so logical, woman or man,
Thoughts that roam their scary, sick minds,
They act calm and kind as they plan one's demise.
A perfect crime of many sorts fill the criminal minds,
They seem not to worried about being caught at the time.
Going on with their deeds believing they will always be
Free,
When they plan a perfect crime, what is in their minds.

A NEW PARADISE
A NEW PARADISE
I sit back and think of the possibility that we
May start again,
If not here then is there some other place of peace
And happiness.
In the beginning we hear about a garden, it disappeared
From us,
A new paradise where we can hear the birds sing without
Trouble on the horizon.
Listen to the wind without the painful, tragic, sounds
Of sirens,
A wonderful island, a new world where we are equal in
Every way.
Money holds no meaning in this paradise home where not
A soul walks alone,
Food so plenty, pains of hunger never again in this new
Paradise where all are friends.
Sickness no more, no worries of a cure that were learned
About many years before,
A place that sounds familiar, written in story books, a
Fantasy not believed.
Believe in this as once such a place did exist, a lesson
Learned if so happens again.

SOUNDS IN THE WIND
SOUNDS' IN THE WIND
The wind has no sound unless obstacles to blow
Around or between,
Through nothing can It pass, an opening must
make way for it.
Travels' and swirls' across the sky with force
And power,
Since the existence of time It remains' alive but
Unseen.
The crackling of branches and twigs from the trees,
Rustling of the leaves moving through the shrubs,
Wind has sound.
Through chimneys' you can hear the wind whistle,
Fences creek, chimes let you know the wind Is here.
Windows' vibrate and trashcans' hit the ground
Like drumbeats,
From our ears we hear sounds' In the wind.

SOMETHING SO STRONG
SOMETHING SO STRONG
For so long now a crushing pain, out of darkness,
I find my way,
The sky I see above, rests over the mountain I
Must climb.
A glow of light finds' me as I make my way up the
Endless giant,
There's a faith that guides,' I am not afraid fore
Many will stand with me.
Inside this body lives a spirit of neverending fight
For survival,
Something so strong, It conquers' the force of doubt
In another man.
I may not reach the top but I will try, I will get
There, i'll touch the sky,
Lost was I this man of many sorrows,' a change In myself
Is discovered.
Such a long road on my own to follow, travel It with me
Now and forever,
I've seen the mountain, I've climbed high with blood
And pain, To the top.
Many have come to watch my flight from the mornings'
Light into the dark,
With me they stood strong, they helped me climb when
I weakened.
Something so strong as I would not fall, their strength
Gave me courage,
The mountain still stands,' again I will climb stronger
Each time.

AN INSTANCE IN TIME
AN INSTANCE IN TIME
Life is but a flash, just as a lightning bolt strikes
And is gone,
The earth is a speck compared to this never ending
Universe.
If each one us were even given a great gift of one
Hundred years,
Like a particle of sand compared again to the age
Of our world.
Like the wind blowing past and gone in the blink of
An eye,
An instance in time is what we are given to see and
Realize.
