WHAT HAPPENED TO THE RAIN?

Has anybody seen the rain,? it went away on a trip to where,

Lost is it, I hear it’s been seen roaming the sky over far off lands.

Why doesn’t it like to visit here anymore, it’s been such awhile,

I remember how the clouds would gather each time and get ready.

You could smell it in the air, the winds would change, lightening and thunder,

When it began to fall i would turn my face to the sky and let it drop upon my face.

It use to be a friend and water all the beautiful plants until it went away,

Now the land is in trouble as it begins to dry up, will it crumble and turn to dust.?

Will the plants and shrubs turn to brown removing their color as they slowly die,

When will the people feel the thirst as the precious water taken for granted

Is no longer there, what happened to the rain, will it ever return again.?

THE ANSWERS I HAVE

THE ANSWERS I HAVE

Already have i the answers to the questions i’ll ask,

Not knowing why i ask of things already known by me.

Mistakes are made by which lessons are learned,

To little, too late or perhaps a chance for this man.

A bad choice is made, learn what can be learned,

The answers i have to my questions of this wrong i do.

Think before i act, a lesson so simple without thought,

Think before i speak and avoid my loss.

THINGS I HAVE SEEN

Born with these eyes that for a lifetime have seen,

Wonderful pictures of a world that seem like a dream.

Things I have seen are those of beauty and life combined,

Things I have seen are of darkness and quite horrible things.

Things I have seen should not have been there to ever see,

Not from eyes of the Innocent child whom hasn’t had time to dream.

Things I have seen are of hope, love, and courageous things,

Things I have seen are of views from so many different ways.

The things I have seen of mystery and unusual scenery,

A lifetime that makes up a movie of all that I am to be.

WHILE WE SLUMBER

In the dark of night, quiet, all things sit still,

Do they, while we slumber is all quiet and still.

What goes on while we dream, Is the house the same,

Are we safe with our eyes closed, does something watch.

What noises, creeks, or anything live within the silence,

when we’re asleep what is it we do not see, things of everyday.

The doors do not move just as the chairs remain in place,

We might think the house comes to life in our wondering minds.

How can we truly know while we slumber the happenings around us,

Fore we must sleep or forever dream with one eye open to the darkness.

While we slumber, we should not fear or have to wonder.

THEY TRIED TO TAKE OUR FARM

To sweat and actually bleed, long hot days giving our all,

When the rooster crows we are already starting the morning.

What it takes to keep a farm, everyone pulling together as one,

You’ll finf out quick that no one will care, so you better care more.

The government decided they wanted our land, they asked politely,?

We said no! we don’t want to sell, that wasn’t really a question you see.

They got mean, we decide to get meaner, no one is taking our farm,

Hear we’ll stand with guns in hand, die if we must, this is our land.

Together as one women and men we were ready to fight for a farm, our home,

They tried to take our farm, we prayed for peace, we want this not to be,

In the end we did not fall, we said it all, they went away, this is our home.

TALK TO HIS HEART

Speak words that are truly felt from inside, he will listen,

Hear what you have to say is what he will do when you open up.

It might appear that he is not there anywhere but speak your words,

Talk to his heart and he will hear you, know will he of your love and faith.

Talk to his heart and he will reach out to you, quietly as he seems so far away,

He’s in a different place right now, a much different state of mind.

Talk to his heart and a heart will in return say many loving things back,

Talk to his heart, two hearts connected from separate places.

TAKE SUPPER WITH ME

The sun was setting, shadows stretched out beyond the hills,

A breeze suddenly came forcing leaves from the ageing trees.

Chilly on this night as a pile of wood rests waiting for a warm fire,

A roof over this mans head, supper on the stove, and a bed to call my own.

Step out do i to have a smoke from my pipe, relaxing while a meal is cooking,

I see in the distance a stranger with body movement of desperation, pacing.

Examine the situation do i as this most lonely, scared person, loiters,

Call to him i do, are you okay!, i watch as this soul looks my way,

Be weary of strangers i think to myself but there is no worry here.

Come in out from the cold and take supper with me, it’s your choice,

I was taking a chance, in the end the chance i took changed someones life.

WINCHESTER ROUND TABLE, KNIGHTS OF TWENTY FIVE

WINCHESTER ROUND TABLE,

KNIGHTS OF TWENTY FIVE

Times of old, in a land where stories are told, men of an oath,

A place, old England where Kings and Queens ruled the land.

There was, there existed those of a round table whom would give their lives,

They were knights of twenty five, the winchester round table of long ago.

Men of honor were these warriors of the day, heroes they might have been,

Rescuing damsels in distress, fighting off those whom would be evil men.

They to never do outrage nor murder, always to flee treason,

Men such as a King known as Arthur, Sir Galahad, or Sir Lancelot.

To by no means be cruel but too give mercy unto him who asks for mercy,

To always do ladies, gentlewomen, and widows succor, to God be gallant.,

Knights with names of Sir Gawain, Sir Percivale, and Sir Lionell,

To never force ladies, gentlewomen, or widows, not to take up battles

In wrongful quarrels for love or worldly goods.

Men of the past, Sir Tristram De Lyones, Sir Gareth, and Sir Bedivere,

To never lay down arms, to seek after wonders, too help the powerless.

Sir Bleoberis, Sir La Cote Maletaile, and Sir Lucan were of the faithful,

When called upon to defend the rights of the weak with all ones strength.

Sir Palomedes, Sir Lamorak, also Sir Bors De Ganis were noble,

To injure no one, not to attack one another, too be a gentleman.

There were others whom rode together many moons ago, Knights of England,

Sir Safer, Sir Pelleas, and Sir Kay, they would serve a King back in the day.

To fight for the safety of ones country, too give ones life for ones country,

Sir Ector De Maris, Sir Dagonet, and Sir Degore were of the dedicated.

To seek nothing before honour, never to break faith for any reason,

They are of the round table, they are a court of men of principles.

Men such as Sir Brunor Le, Noir, Sir Le, Bel Desconneu, and Sir Alymere,

To practice religion most diligently, too grant hospitality to anyone,

Each according to his ability, they were men like no other, Knights.

Sir Mordred was also one of these men whom once rode the land,

Whether in honour or disgrace, to make a report with the greatest

Fidelity to truth too those whom keep the annals, Knights of twenty five.

These were the men who’d lived many centuries ago in times so different,

They fought to protect the weak and too rid the land of evil forces.

They were men of King Arthurs court, Knights of twenty five,

They were the Knights of the Winchester round table.

QUALITY OF LIFE

When we are young for granted we take running till day is done,

Strong legs and energy, so fortunate if you are without sickness.

Adjust do we our everyday in different ways as we wear down, decay,

Push on through, never surrendering to age or time, we do let go.

Quality of life, that’s how we wish to live, pain free and happy,

We all live a different life style, our individual way of living each day.

Quality of life, it can change in a flash, an accident, disaster, disease,

Life is a special gift, our quality of life means much to us, to live or exist.

How good is life when you feel sick or can’t enjoy your daily activities,

We all have or will one day aquire those things, ailments that will limit us.

Appreciate the health you have and run, play, see everything while you can.

DID YOU SEE THE WORLD TODAY?

DID YOU SEE THE WORLD TODAY?

I awoke this morning to the sunlight along with the musical tunes of nature,

Scrub jays of beautiful blue flying here and there collecting their peanuts.

I watch the Squirrels running, playing, and eating breakfast set out for them,

Life is awake, plants and trees, flowers and green surround from all around.

In the distance i can hear many flying creatures, the echo of a dog calling out,

The blue sky lay like a blanket over what has been created from the master.

Did you see the world today, did you look around to all that may be found,

Did you see the hills and green grass dancing back and forth.

Did you see the day change from yesterday, the world change before you,

Did you see the world today, see it before it disappears and goes away.
