JOURNEY THROUGH TITLES
I wish I were blind from some of the things
I've seen,
While out in the street many sad and haunting
Things were to be.
Could somebody tell me where it is that thunder
Road lives,
I heard it was somewhere down by the river.
You know it takes a leap of faith to live through
Struggles,
Each morning we wake to the rising, it has meaning.
When we feel alone, it only takes a little human
Touch,
Otherwise, at times we just want to fade away.
Once walking the streets of Philadelphia, I felt
Trapped,
Before me was a darkness on the edge of town.
Have you ever had a lonesome day, everything seemed
Missing,
You were the nothing man, searching for your land
Of hope and dreams.
I went back to my hometown, i had to drive all night,
Atlantic City was the place, that was my lucky day.
It was warm out, everywhere there were girls in their
Summer clothes,
There I stood, Living proof that life is good.
In my thoughts, like Springsteen, I want to say I'm a
Rocker,
You know it's a man's job to take care of his family.
I believe everyone is born to run, and I know two heart's
Are better than one,
I'll work for your love sweetheart, because I love you.
The wrestler takes it one day at a time, he survives,
In certain situations I am tougher than the rest.
Some are forced to live in places that resemble a
Jungleland,
Remember, to survive in this world the phrase is none
But the brave.

FROM HEAVEN CAN YOU HEAR ME?
FROM HEAVEN,
CAN YOU HEAR ME?
I look to the sky, can you see me through the
Clouds,
I'm standing here Lord, what shall I do to make It
Today?
From my eyes there are many tears that flow to
No end,
In this body It Is my heart that cries for your help
To ease my sorrow.
Stand by me when my loneliness Is much more than I
Can bare,
Take away this pain and anger that live In my soul
As I move forward.
Take from me these nightmares that visit when I sleep,
Oh! please,
Let me rest as my body feels' so very tired from
This plight.
From heaven, can you hear me, do you know who I am,
Will you listen as I ask for your guiding hand?

FOLLOW THE RIVER
FOLLOW THE RIVER
Watching the water as It flows' down stream,
I walk Its' path on either side.
As the river turns,' swaying from side, to side,
The rushing water crashes and throws' Itself at me
As I make my way along.
On my journey past trees and hills,'
Notice do I the bright sun and big white clouds'
Passing me by.
Follow, follow the river on a course chosen by
Itself,
Onward, downward until such a place where the
Water lies still.
I follow the river to a resting spot,
Now It Is time for this soul to sleep.

DARKNESS
" DARKNESS"
Beauty exists within it, things we can'not see,
It brings to me peace and solitude, I feel at ease.
The less I see brings me a calmness not felt by day,
Darkness can be such a scary place or peaceful.
There are those whom must live with darkness,
Some are however in a darkened place.
Darkness is a friend to others and foe to another,
Darkness holds something for each in this world.

IN THIS FACE
IN THIS FACE
There's a different look, a ghost like Image,
A man screaming out a song with all he's got.
He strikes such a pose this one called the boss,
A hunger for the music, a hunger to speak his words.
He tells of what's living inside his being,
Sometimes that which haunts his thoughts and memories.
In this face, a story is constantly being told,
About his struggles in life and that of a man.
Happy or sad, no surrender lives within him,
He lives his life, music lives in him.

INTO THE WIND
INTO THE WIND
I met a girl named Leah, she was from Nebraska,
It certainly was not the promised land nor her
Paradise.
Out in the street is a real world, you have to
Walk the line,
This life can be a great thing, a leap of faith
Is needed.
We went to the zoo and saw the lions den,
The last carnival of the Summer was today.
I always thought my best was never good enough,
With Leah, this depression of mine was gone.
Life itself was now wonderful, the light of day
Was magic,
We are alive! no more a lonesome day.
We went off to find our lucky town together,
My city of ruins is now left behind.
It's the price you pay for decisions made,
We're livin' in the future now, one step up.
I've learned to have love of the common people,
Walk like a man my father would say.
I asked her, "let's be friend's skin to skin'
If we part then we won't say the long goodbye.
The fever I got was gone now, I got medicine
From a place open all night,
I told her you're missing the moonlight, watch
With me.

IMPOSSIBLE?
IMPOSSIBLE?
Impossible things, are they to be Imagined,
To walk on the moon, travel to mars.
See and touch the oceans' floor,
Climb a mountain and reach for more.
It can be done, walking from coast to coast,
Break the sound barrier, faster than the
Speed of sound.
Travel in a balloon, across the world you go,
Fly in the sky, jump from the highest height.
Impossible things,Impossible you say,
To rid the world of disease and cancer,
Can this be a possibility one day.
To love one another, hold hands across this
World,
Terror put to an end, war only a bad dream.
To all Impossible things, to the next one who
Can make it a reality.

HERE IS MY HOUSE
HERE IS MY HOUSE
Here is my house built for this world today,
There is a gate so that you can't get through,
If not invited there will be guns waiting for you.
Two dogs growling, mean as could ever be,
An alarm system that calls on those whom will hurt
You indeed.
Doors of steel that should let not a criminal soul
Get in,
Supplies for survival if this land must come to this.
Here is my house, not one of dreams but of safety,
Not the way our country should be, here is my house
The way I see.

A HEARTBEAT
A HEARTBEAT
Listen to my heartbeat, thump, thump, it beats,
Blood runs through it, listen to me as I breathe.
A heartbeat means life, it beats fast or slow,
Thump, thump, it goes, a heartbeat that slowly grows
Old.
It speaks of who I am, only one of a kind,
Listen! thump, thump, with a hand to my chest feel
As I am alive.
A heartbeat lets us know that this moment is still
Ours,
Hear it pound! listen to its beautiful sound.
Thump, thump, thump, thump, one beat at a time,
A heartbeat so precious, thump as it beats one more
Time.

HE TOLD ME OF HIS LIFE
HE TOLD ME OF HIS LIFE
As he sat down in his rocking chair he began
To speak,
With a smile, he invited me to sit and went
About his story.
His life as a child at the beginning of a war
For independence,
On a farm in South Carolina, he lived with a father,
Brothers, sisters.
He went on to tell of adventures in the Summer
Just before it happened,
A big house, great times with family, working the
Farm each day was tiring.
He must have been about ninety years old now, the war
And those days, long gone,
A childhood recalled, swimming in the pond with a
Friend or two, the night's moon.
He told me of this war being all around them,
Nothing would be the same, much change,
Tears in his eyes as he described that time and
Place where brothers and family died.
He sits in his chair today, many years away from there,
He lives in that house today,
He sits in his chair on that porch where as a child
He played, he told me of his life.
